This thesis statement attempts to explore the possibility of in-between space of nature water environment and architectural environment, embodying water into architecture as architecture itself or embodying architecture into water as water itself. In this possibility, instead of being sheltering space, the new architecture is conceived as a phenomenon environment as expression of water environment, which connects natural water environment and artificial architecture environment. This means that the boundary of natural environment and artificial environment is expanded, as well as the boundary of private environment and public environment, and conceived as a realizable buffer space with its form and order, diversity and time. With testing to locate the space in between high density stereotyped high-rise residential as a new type of leisure space – a community garden, which is in between the artificial and nature, the public and private, a light, and dynamic, transformative, ephemeral and phenomenal space will enlighten our architecture and urbanism. Also, the statement refers to the physical characters and social characters of water and its different status, which may apply in architecture form materiality, form, structure, and space. This means the boundary of natural water environment and artificial environment is expanded, conceived to be a realizable space with its form and order, diversity and time. Thus, the boundary does not represent the separated and delimited, but merging and continuity. Locating the space as an environment in high-rise urbanism, a light, dynamic, transformative, ephemeral and phenomenal space will enlighten our architecture and urbanism.
