The incredible growth of China’s economy has come at tremendous cost to the country’s environment. This project proposes the design of a new science museum and interpretive center at the Three Gorges Dam – a monument to China’s ambitious economic growth. This additional construction to the dam site will be an occupiable device planned to educate people obout hydro power usage, its technological and economic contributions as well as its negative impacts on the social and natural environments. The design and construction of this system will also attempt to demonstrate alternative methods of water management that will improve conditions at the Three Gorges Dam, as well as point towards better strategies for future dams.
